The darker side of personality is revealed in Personality Disorders.
Nathan C. Popkins has contributed two papers to this website. The first is entitled, "The Five-Factor Model: Emergence of a Taxonomic Model for Personality Psychology." Popkins' response to the peer commentaries on this paper is called, "Semantic and Theoretical Clarifications."
Popkins' second paper is entitled, "Natural Characteristics That Influence Environment: How Physical Appearance Affects Personality." His response to the peer commentaries on this paper is called, "Experiments and the Question of the Chicken or the Egg."
The What's New section was added to chronicle major additions to this website.

Great Ideas in Personality began as a list of references on personality research programs; then separate pages were added on each research program, often taking the form of Alternative Representations; later, annotated links to other relevant websites were added. Although it began as a resource for students taking a course, this website now includes materials that should interest students, professsionals, and laypersons alike in the science of personality.
